The members and officers of the Grand Rapids Amateur Radio Association (GRARA-W8DC.org) wish to extend
A BIG THANKS to all who came to GRAHamfest 2Ø2Ø this past Saturday.

Normally this would be emailed directly to those who attended the swap based on the prize registration cards, at least those who included a legible email address. But since there was no admission charge or prizes this year, hopefully most this year’s attendees are subscribed to at least one of the radio email lists.

We all know why we had to abandon the Home School Building this year, we do look forward to returning in 2021. It turned out relocating to the Red Cross parking lot, rather than canceling, was a fantastic move. The main lot against the Red Cross building was filled with vendors, the back lots where shoppers parked. It’s anyone’s guess how many attended, but there were lots of folks with plenty of room for the social distancing thing. Lots of sales and bargains to be had.

If you didn’t make it, you missed a unique and fun swap. See you at the next swap and at GRAHamfest 2Ø21 next September. To anyone staying home because of a slight possible chance of rain, the rain held off until the event was over. Your loss.

AND SINCE WE’RE HERE, the next social event is the INDEPENDENT REPEATER ASSOCIATION (IRA) OPEN HOUSE / SITE CLEANUP, Saturday, September 26, starting 9AM, emphasize you do not need to partake in the cleanup part, we welcome your presence. Rain date Saturday, October 3. This will take place at the 92nd St “The Hill” tower site.
