Subject: Public info about Kent County Amateur Radio Emergency Services Participation for ARRL SET 2019
Simulated Emergency Test (SET) this Saturday, September 28
For those interested:
We will have the following channels in use
Starting @ 9AM, Lowell repeater 145.27-(94.8Hz) - Linked to K8SN repeater 442.175+(103.5Hz)
KCRACES V5 Simplex - 146.42 (167.9Hz)
Winlink Callsigns for the SET: (Please note, for real-life these
callsigns will change and we will have a listing on our website for
them). Feel free to send messages to both.
- KC8EST at winklink.org - KCSO (Kent County Sheriffs Office EOC)
- K8TCS at winlink.org - Tad - Our roamer. He will go to the Spectrum Health Site
- N8JSN at winlink.org - This is @ my home station so I will retrieve
these when I get back to it.
We will hold a net @ 10AM on V14-Lowell/U1-K8SN. These repeaters will be linked
together for the net. At 10:10AM we will ask participants to switch
over to V5(146.42) Simplex. We will transmit a message from KCSO's EOC and
from Spectrum's EOC. If other EOC's are playing we will ask them to
transmit a message also. At 10:20AM or sooner we will ask on the main
net, which stations could hear the message and where you were. If for
some reason you cannot make it into the repeater, you may utilize
Zello Channel KCHAM_CH1 (password kchams2019).
If you plan to play. Sign up @ http://vrm.cc/set2019 choose an
assignment based on what you can do / affiliation.
Thank You
